JAUNZEME: MYSTERY VEIL MUST BE REMOVED FROM AUDITS

On Tuesday, 19 November, entrepreneurs from entire Vidzeme gathered in Cēsis for the seminar "How to avoid SRS audit” organised by Vidzeme Division of the largest association of Latvian entrepreneurs, the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LTRK), and the State Revenue Service (SRS) and Cēsis County municipality.

 

MT, LTRO AND RE SIGN THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

On Wednesday, 20 November, the deputy Prime Minister, the Minister for Justice, Jānis Bordāns, the chairman of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LTRK), Jānis Endziņš, and main state notary of the Register of Enterprises (RE), Guna Paidere, signed the memorandum of understanding  on use of information included in non-public part documents from registers of the Register of Enterprises.

LATVIA HAS SUBMITTED FINAL DESIGN TO ORGANISERS OF EXPO 2020

On 25 November, the largest association of Latvian entrepreneurs, the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, submitted the Final Design, i.e. complete technical design of pavilion construction in Latvia's understanding, to the organisers of Expo 2020.

Generally, it consists of 17 volumes of documents, where 10 of them were Concept Design, and was confirmed in August; whereas today remaining seven volumes were submitted to receive the Final Design.

DECLARATION ON COOPERATION IN AREA OF LATVIA'S PRODUCTIVITY AND COMPETITIVENESS ANALYSIS SIGNED

On Tuesday, 26 November, the chairman of the largest association of Latvian entrepreneurs, Jānis Endziņš, and chairman of council of Latvian Productivity, Efficiency and Competitiveness Scientific Institute "Latvijas Universitātes domnīca LV PEAK” under the auspices of the Business, Management and Economics Faculty of the Latvian University, Gundars Bērziņš, signed a declaration to promote productivity, competitiveness and elaboration of analysis-based economy policy.

Latvian tax system needs evolution instead of reform to analyse results of last three years and make improvements, the Minister for Finances, Jānis Reirs, told in Cēsis Entrepreneurs Forum 2019.

TALLINN WILL ORGANISE BUSINESS SEMINAR FOR FOOD INDUSTRY ENTREPRENEURS

On Wednesday, 4 December, the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Embassy of Latvia to Estonia and Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised a business seminar for food industry entrepreneurs in the Embassy of Latvia to Estonia aiming at promoting and expanding cooperation of both countries’ businessmen in food industry.

Between 7 October and 9 November, training "Be Better” took place within the framework of project "Creazone” (proj. No. LLI-186) that is being implemented in Latvia by the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Ventspils University College, but in Lithuania — by Lithuanian Employers Confederation and Kaunas Technical University.

STUDY: HIGH RISK OF ENVELOPE SALARIES FOR DIVORCED MEN AND PERSONS IN RETIREMENT AGE

Every tenth resident of Latvia finds it difficult to settle his or her debt obligations towards the state, private creditors or product and service providers, thus there is a risk these persons would like to receive salary in envelope, contributing to the shadow economy in Latvia.
