Accomplished by the LCCI in improvement of the business environment:

  • Additional solutions and possibilities for electric power users of seasonal nature (Regulator’s decision of 27 March enacted on 1 April of this year: “Changes in the PUC System Connection Regulation for participants of the electric power system”); 
  • Improved concept of the Deep Cooperation Programme (White List), making it more friendly and attractive for entrepreneurs (February 2018);
  • Extension of project submission term in the entrepreneurs’ support programme “Support for commissioning of new products” (February 2018); 
  • Provision of proportionality and entrepreneurs’ interests, agreeing guidelines “Consumers’ abilities to repay the credit for evaluation by creditors providing crediting services to consumers” (November 2017 – February 2018);
  • Achieved proportionate solution for transportation of passengers by passenger cars and taxis (January 2018);
  • Cancelled the 10 days prohibition in the vehicle alienation procedure for such vehicles that are purchased from the manufacturer or its official representative in Latvia and/or purchased by using financing of leasing companies (December 2017);
  • Suspended the intent to divide all state budget assets provided for the healthcare only among state and municipal medical institutions, excluding private medical service providers from the state procurement opportunities (December 2017); 
  • Improved conditions for more uniform and proportionate division of financing in the support programme “International competitiveness promotion” (September 2017); 
  • Change of submission of registration petitions to the Land Register (August 2017);
  • Approved tax policy reform cancelling the CIT rate on the company’s reinvested profit (27.07.2017);
  • Signed memorandum of cooperation with the Cabinet of Ministers on implementation of the First Consult principle in public institutions (15.06.2017);
  • Significantly extended circle of specialists in the list of specialties (professions), where significant lack of labour is forecasted, and in which to the Republic of Latvia may be invited foreigners (providing for facilitated procedure);  
  • Concluded cooperation agreement between the LCCI and the SRS, providing for activities promoting cooperation between the entrepreneurs and the SRS (05.2017);
  • Lower administrative load and higher transparency principle in the area of public procurements (01.03.2017);
  • Founded the LCCI Financial Sector Development Committee (02.2017);
  • Tax discounts for companies for provision of catering to employees (21.01.2017);
  • Extension of the term of introduction of new requirements to cash registers (01.01.2017);
  • LCCI – leading NEC organization in 2017 (2017);
  • Submitted action to the Constitutional Court on cancellation of norms of liability of a member of the Board in the Law on Taxes and Duties (11.2016);
  • Suspended the initiative of Latvian Council of Sworn Notaries on introduction of a mandatory notarial act to all transactions with immovable properties (10.2016);
  • Achievement of a balance between the Competition Law, investigation work scope and interests of merchants (06.2016);
  • Suspended the SRS initiative on exclusion of companies from the VAT register, if company performs no economic activities for more than three months (05.2016);
  • Introduction of the reverse VAT payments for electric appliances (16.04.2016);
  • Achieved simplified and accelerated receipt of permits for outer cafes in Rīga Municipality (04.2016);
  • Granting of CIT discounts to information technology industry companies, providing for support of operation of data and server centres (02.2016);
  • CIT discounts , as well as incentives for “large” investment projects, research and development (02.2016)
  • Facilitation of conditions significant to entrepreneurs in the programme of Competence Centres (01.2016);
  • Cancellation of the Solidarity Tax (01.01.2016);
  • Amendments in the Vocational Education Law achieving mandatory creation of Convents in vocational education institutions (01.2015);
  • Arbitrage regulation improvements, including restrictions on founding (10.01.2015);
  • Support for development of export promotion instruments for companies affected by Russian embargo (10.2015);
  • Promotion “Latvian Goodness unites already almost 100 companies (06.2014)
  • Reduction of labour or PIT tax (01.2013);
