While there has been a massive increase in awareness of the need for energy efficiency, there is a lack of easy-to-implement, practical solutions and basic support. Some progress has already been made in recent years, but many individuals and institutions have so far been left out of the green energy transition. They lack the financial resources to purchase and install complex systems. Most existing energy efficiency measures are aimed at financially well-off larger public institutions or companies and require substantial investments. Within this project, instead of conducting well-known, costly energy efficiency measures, which bring up to 30-40 % efficiency for relatively few units, measures with about 3 - 12 % will be developed, tested and realised.

Aim of the project: Reducing the threshold to implement energy efficiency measures in public buildings and SMEs

Objectives of the project:

  • Develop blueprints for building insulation
  • Develop blueprints for energy efficiency in water and electricity
  • Develop training program for energy practitioners

The following results are foreseen:

  • Tested, evaluated and transferable solutions for building insulation
  • Tested, evaluated and transferable solutions for water and electricity
  • Tested, evaluated and ready to use training program for "Energy Practitioners"
  • At least 3 solutions taken up or up-scaled by organisations
  • At least 146 organisations with increased institutional capacity due to their participation in cooperation activities across borders
