LCCI MEMBERS went to business roadshow IN CASABLANCA

On May 4-5th, the delegation formed by Latvia’s biggest association of entrepreneurs Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) went to Casablanca, Morocco in order to take part in the conference ‘Euromed Business Roadshow in Morocco’ for the purpose of promoting cooperation between the European Union and the Mediterranean region. The conference was organized by Euromed Invest.

During their two-day visit the delegation attended a conference covering industries such as environmental technologies, renewable energy, agriculture, green technologies, health and tourism services. The purpose of the conference was to talk about business and investment opportunities in Morocco as well as promoting the potential cooperation between the European Union and countries in the Mediterranean region. The conference was attended by representatives from Morocco, Italy, France, Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia, United Kingdom and Latvia.

At ‘Euromed Business Roadshow in Morocco’, Latvia was represented by agricultural machinery enterprise Baltic Manufacturing Group Ltd., multi-profile company group Gedvillo Partner Group and translation service provider Linearis Ltd. In addition, the LCCI presented the newly-created Latvian Export Cluster.

After the presentations, the participants engaged in mutual meetings with entrepreneurs to raise interest about the possibilities of cooperation.

On the second day of the visit, the participants the water technology exhibition at the ‘International Water Expo’.

The objective of the project Euromed Invest is to create a cooperation model between European and African Mediterranean countries, with the goal to increase the business and investment possibilities in the region for European companies, as well as promoting their competitiveness in the region. 80% of the project is financed by the European Union. Project is managed by MedAlliance Consortium and the project activities are implemented by Anima Investment Network.
